Burnhead is owned by Christine and David Hunter. Christine was a district nurse for 24 years and David was a childrens' advocate after a career in teaching. We both retired recently to concentrate on the bed and breakfast.

We took over Burnhead on 1st September 2006 and it is still very much a new challenge for us having never run a B & B before. However, we are fast learners and hopefully we are giving all our guests a lovely experience.

It is important that our guests are able to make the most of their time with us. Both of us have lived in the North all our lives and have a good knowledge of the area, its history, and places of interest. We have books and maps that will help our guest plan their stay. If you plan to spend time in the area there are places you must not miss, if you are walking ‘the Wall’ then perhaps we can persuade you to return sometime to spend more time in our lovely county.

We both enjoy the outdoor life, like to keep in good shape and are members of the local running club. We will be able to suggest some good walks to those who want to be active (and some good runs for those who want to be even more active!)

We are both non smokers and so there is a no smoking policy in Burnhead. We are afraid that we cannot offer a home to your pets.
